Donald Joseph Jacobsmeyer, 70, of Kansas City, Mo passed into the hands of our Lord June 15, 2014 surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday June 23rd at Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 NE 96 St, with visitation 5:00– 7:00 pm Sunday at the church. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Research.
Donald was born June 8, 1944 in St. Louis , Mo. He retired from the U.S. Department of Education after 30 years of service. He coached his son’s soccer teams, his daughter’s softball team and volunteered at his church. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark. Survivors include his wife, Rita, son, Christopher (Kelley), daughter, Carrie (Mark), 2 grandsons, Louis, Mark, brother, Jerry and sister, Mary Lou
