Jean Evelyn Wisdom, 92, of Gladstone, Mo passed away peacefully October 26, 2014. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday October 30th at Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation preceding services 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Burial in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Barry Christian Church or NorthCare Hospice.
Jean was born December 19, 1921 in Stanberry, Mo. She attended Maryville College 2 years and was a teacher for a short while. She later worked as a food manager at Clardy Elementary School in the North Kansas City School District. After retirement she was a volunteer Youth Friend at Clardy and read to the children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry Wisdom in 1989.Survivors include her sister, Ruthanna Noel Lentz, sister in law, Anna Jean Wisdom, sons, William Wisdom, Clinton (Faye) Wisdom, Noel Wisdom, Scott (Martha) Wisdom, also Bonnie Wisdom, Shirley Watson and 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Bishop, Scott (Ami) Wisdom, Robert (Brandi) Wisdom, Ember (Ed) Adams, Cary (Berg) Heskin, and 5 great grandsons, Dylan Wisdom, Matik Heskin, Ty Wisdom, Khysen Heskin, Jack Wisdom, and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank all who helped take such comforting care of Jean in her time of need..
