John E. Sole, 89 of Kansas City, died at Primrose Retirement Community, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was born August 28, 1925, in Windsor, MO, to the late Rolla and Faye (Alexander) Sole.
John was a quiet, kind, generous, gentle and reserved man; he was a good Dad and provider. For many years he worked 3 jobs to support his family. He proudly served in the Army during WWII. On November 9, 1946 he married the love of his life, Sue; they remained married for 58 years until Sue’s death in 2004. John was a Deacon at Barry Rd. Christian church was a warehouse manager for Pittman, he enjoyed car trips, card games with friends and family and was a big Royals and KU Basketball fan.
John was the loving father and father-in-law of Jim (Linda) Sole, Gary (Kathy) Sole, John (Patty) Sole and Phil (Kim) Sole, dear brother of Velda Hale. He was a dear Grandfather, Great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
