Loretta J. Staab, 82 of Mansfield, Texas; formerly of Liberty, Missouri was Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Mansfield, TX.  She was born March 25, 1933 in Beloit, Kansas to the late Fredrick G. and Julia A. (Stieger) Schaffer.  She is preceded in death by her siblings: Charles Schaffer, Helen Jones, Ruth Brown, Fredrick “Fritz” Schaffer, Francis Schaffer, Marie Pickett, Verena Webb and Jean Boudreaux; and her son Jeffrey Crandall.

She was an avid golfer who took annual trips to Destin, FL; she had a BSN and was a Psychiatric Nurse for 42 years; and a former member of St. James Catholic church. She was the last of her generation and is now at the ultimate Schaffer Family Reunion.

Loretta was the loving wife of 29 years to Francis “Frank” Staab, beloved mother of Pamela Crandall Gash, David (Beth) Crandall, Brian Keith Crandall, Ken (Kerry) Staab. Cherished Grandma, “MeMe” of Cheri (Matt) Bonsignore, Stacy (Cecilia) Gash, Regan (Kyle) Simmons, Kele Crandall-Meadows, Andrea Treolo, Carmen (Willie) Hyatt, Becky (Shawn) Hawks, Vicki Samayoa, Jeffery Crandall, Loretta Crandall, Elizabeth Recinos, David (Melanie) Staab and Michael Staab.  Great-grandmother, “GG” of Adelaide, Jonas, Camryn, Chase, Cash, Mallory, Micaiden, Taytum,Greyson and Everly.  She was a dear aunt to James and Adam, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6-8 PM with a vigil service at 8 PM; at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Fr. Michael Roach will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 2 at 10 AM at St. James Catholic Church; 309 S. Stewart St. Liberty, MO. Visitation at church will begin at 9 AM.  Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
