Marvin Treadway

Marvin Edward Treadway, 91, passed away November 8, 2014 at Nottingham Rehab and Nursing with his family present.  Marvin was born to Mabel and Emett Treadway on March 16, 1923 in Altamont, KS. They later moved to Parsons , KS where he graduated from Parsons High School in 1941. Marvin married Betty Jean Hill on June 7, 1942. He served in the Army from 1942-1946.  Marvin and Betty moved to Kansas City, Mo in 1948 where he worked for the Postal Service until he retired in March of 1983.Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Betty, and 2 sisters Marvin is survived by daughter, Margo Derry (Kevin) of Overland Park, KS, son, Mark Treadway of Denver, CO, 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Audra, Brian and Joshua, 1 great-grandson, Jax,  sisters, Marie Cook of Kansas City, MO, Marilyn Millspaugh of Prescott, AZ, and brother Jerry Treadway of Golden, CO. Memorial services will be  11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15th with visitation and lunch following the services at First Presbyterian Church of North Kansas City, 2125 Fayette.  Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First Presbyterian Church of North Kansas City.
