Ruth M. Caton, 90, of Gladstone, Mo passed away January 15, 2015 at The Villages in Independence, Mo. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Friday January 23rd at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108 Street (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Prkwy), with visitation preceding services 5:30 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Assn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd I. (Bud) Caton in January of 1999. Ruth was born on April 23, 1924 in Polo, Mo to Virgil and Georgia (Hufft) Gilbert. After many years of farming near Nelson, Mo, Lloyd and Ruth spent their retirement years in Gladstone. Survivors include her sister, Doris Ottman, her seven children, James Gil (Karen) Hanlin, Lloyd K. (Joyce) Caton, Patricia R. (Charles) Price, Janice Kay (Doug) Lair, Ann (William) Smith, Doris (Don) Looman, Robert Keith (Jodie) Kavanaugh, 21grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who lived a life well spent in demonstrating her love and care to her family and friends. Condolences may be sent to TerraceParkFuneral.com
