Vickie L. Myers, 66, of Smithville, MO passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was born October 3, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to the late Harry and Helen (Armstrong) Stone.
She was the dear wife of 47 years of Jerry Myers, loving mother of Courtney Myers, Jared his wife Melissa Myers, the late Sharma Myers, who died in 1992, cherished Nana of Casen Willenborg and Jade Myers. Loving sister of Bob and his wife Joyce Stone and the late Dean Stone, Bertie Goff and Ronald Stone. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members.
Vickie worked for KCP&L for 28 years, she owned and operated The Warrior Shop in Smithville for 16 years; she was an advocate and speaker for MADD; and passionate about the Smithville community. She was a devoted wife, mother & nana; she loved to spend time with her family and friends at their pool she enjoyed family picnics and her favorite time of year was Christmas. She was a bone marrow stem cell transplant recipient and was a true Warrior who fought courageously for the past year against cancer. She never gave up her love of life and the people around her.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 12 PM until time of service at 2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO; with friend and Pastor Jerry Middleton officiating. Interment will be private at Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to KU Endowment for Bone Marrow Transplant c/o Gift Processing Department, P.O.
