Alice Gorsage

October 2, 1918 — February 7, 2018

Alice Beatrice Gorsage, 99, of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday February 7, 2018, at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab. Alice was born to Francis and Mattie (Miller) Burch, October 2, 1918, in Sallisaw, OK. She married Walter Gorsage in 1957. Shortly after getting married the couple moved to Kansas City, MO. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, and her daughter Phyllis Dickerson, brothers: Everett, Edwin, Thomas Burch, and sister Rachel Peckham.

Alice is survived by three children: Linda (Jim) Hudson of Kidder, MO, Martha Gorsage of Kidder, MO, and Don (Barbara) Gorsage of Rayville, MO, siblings Doris Bruhn- Apple Valley MN, John Burch- Porterville, CA, DeLois Womack- McMinnville, OR and Olta Mae Hager-Coming, CA. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A small graveside service will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Side Chapel, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery.
