Anabel Park

Anabel Park, 93, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at NorthCare Hospice House. She was born September 29, 1924, in Smithville, MO to the late James M. and Lina Mae (Bullock) Kuykendall.

Family was number one for Anabel, she loved fishing, camping and traveling in their Airstream and working in her vegetable and flower garden.  She was a graduate of Smithville High School. She worked for the Platte County Assessor’s office for 10 years and was a member of the Spellman Hospital Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, past member of the Second Creek Christian Church and member of Ferrelview Church.

She is survived by her children Larry (Mary) Park, Vicky (Frank) Dovel, Donald Park, and William (Brenda) Park; Grandchildren Adam and Josh Park, Brian Dovel and Chance Park, Lori Dovel, Angie Leonard, Ashley Park, Ame Houchen and Christa Park; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren

In addition to her parents Anabel is preceded in death by her husband of  58 years, James A. Park, sisters Marie and Lavina and granddaughter Teri Dovel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow at Second Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Second Creek Cemetery Trust Fund 8578 NE Grandpas Rd. Osborn, MO 64474.
