Betty Darlene Burns, daughter of the late Elmer & Janie (Deahl) Massey, was born on October 10, 1929 and departed this life on April 1, 2019. At the time of her passing she was 89 years of age.

Betty was born in Goff, Kansas where she attended school until the eighth grade. The family then moved to Robinson, Kansas. While in Robinson she met Fred Burns and they were later united in marriage on April 26, 1952. Together they moved to several different places before finally making their home in Neosho, Missouri. In 1968 Fred accepted a trucking position in Kansas City, Missouri where the family stayed for several years until moving to Turney, Missouri in 1990. Betty loved to spend her time going to garage sales, gardening and being with her family.

Betty was preceded in passing by her husband of 50 years, Fred Burns; her parents; and five siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Victor) Trevizo; one grandchild, Mariah Trevizo; and two siblings, Estelle Smith and Marvin (Joanne) Massey. She also leaves behind several friends and other family member who will all truly miss her.
