Carolyn Motsinger

November 14, 1937 — August 15, 2017

Carolyn Ann Motsinger, 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at New Mark Care Center, Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Carolyn was born on November 14, 1937, to Elvan and Pearlie (Conway) Rea in Levy, Arkansas.  She was raised by her grandparents Cavinaugh and Lillian Conway. After graduating from North Little Rock High School in 1955, she attended Bethany Nazarene College, where she met the love of her life. She married James Motsinger on August 9, 1957. Carolyn worked as an Assistant Trust Officer for United Missouri Bank for 30 years. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in her gardens and planting flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. After retirement she also spent a lot of time traveling around the world with Jim. She also held a strong passion for her church and loved God.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and also a daughter Sharon Campbell.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, her son Stephen (Brenda) Motsinger, of Edmond, OK, grandsons, Erik and Kyle “Jessie” Motsinger, granddaughter Jayme Sampson, and three great grandchildren; Madison and Dakota Hunter, and Dahlia Motsinger. Also, her beloved pet Casey.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2017  from 10:00 AM til time of service at  11:00 AM at Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene; 6200 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS. Burial will be scheduled at a later date in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to North Care Hospice.
