Daniel Eugene Lemasters, son of the late Orville Eugene and Shirley (Roberts) Lemasters, was born on November 6, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on January 28, 2019 in Liberty, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 68 years of age.
Daniel was raised in North Kansas City and attended North Kansas City High School where he later graduated from in 1969. He was a lover of animals and worked for many years as a Vet Tech at Antioch Dog and Cat Hospital where he met his soon to be wife, Janice Kenney. They were united in marriage on February 12, 1971 and to this union three children were born, all of whom survive him. He had a colorful work history and ultimately chose his career as a Corrections Officer for Lansing Correctional Facility where he served for 26 years until his retirement in 2009. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing with his father, and was a proud member of the Sheffield Masonic Lodge in Independence, Missouri for 27 years.
Daniel was preceded in passing by his parents; his brother, Dennis Lemasters; and two grandchildren, Alexis Poole and Sloan Poole. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Janice Lemasters; three children, Daniel Lemasters Jr., Deonna (Glen) Poole, Dawn (Matthew) Silber; one brother, Daryl Lemasters; three grandchildren, Chris Poole, Crystal Poole and Josiah Silber; and one great-grandchild, Matthew Poole. He also leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss him.
