Eva Butts

Eva Darlene Butts, age 84 died peacefully in her sleep Friday, August 17th. Eva grew up in Gentry County Missouri, daughter of Gartha and Osa Osborn. Eva graduated from Stanberry HS and ventured off to the big city with the love of her life Bill Butts. Eva and Bill married August 16, 1952 and had three sons, Doug, Steve and David. Eva loved to sing and play her guitar. As their boys were growing the neighborhood families would get together for singing, laughing and enjoying their families. A family lake place was purchased at Pomme de Terre which Eva and Bill loved so much. Most weekends the families would head down to the lake for the best family time. Eva was afraid of the water, but would sit on the shore and watch everyone have so much fun. At night everyone would sit around the bonfire telling all the family stories. She would laugh even after the stories were told over and over. Eva loved to watch the grankids play wiffle ball, mud football and the 4-wheeling..

Eva and her sister Fern loved their Osborn family reunions. Each year the sisters couldn't wait to make the drive up north to see their brothers and sisters. Eva loved spending time with her Gentry County family.

Eva is proceeded in death by her husband Bill and son Steve Butts. Eva leaves behind her sons Doug (Kathy), David (Tami), daughter in love Cindy. Eva had 7 grandkids, JD (Kim), Mike (Jessica), Jon, Amy (Bob), Timothy, Stacey and Lacey. Seven great grandkids, Nathan, Jackson, Braydon, Avery, Brooks, Chace and Christian. Numerous nieces and nephews that she loved.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 21st 5-7 pm. Funeral will be Wednesday, August 22nd at 11:00 am. Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th, KCMO
