Garold Taylor

Garold Wayne Taylor, 90, of Owasso, Oklahoma passed away quietly on August 17, 2017 at St. John Hospital from heart failure. He was born in Canton, Missouri on July 19, 1927 to the late Harvey I. and Audlea M. (Duncan) Taylor.

Garold proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Civil Engineer by trade. He is most remembered for his pastoral leadership as an elder in the Community of Christ Church. He had a true compassion for his spiritual calling and loving touch with people of all walks of life.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Doug, Daphne and Darcy; brother Robert, brother-in-law Jack, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Garold is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53, years, Lavona.

Garold will be laid to rest with Military Honors, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1 PM at Terrace Park Cemetery, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
