Gene Jordan

Gene Nelson Jordan, son of the late Alvin & Opal (Kitterman) Jordan, was born on June 12, 1938 and departed this life on September 2, 2018. At the time of his passing he was 80 years, 2 months and 20 days of age.

Gene was united in marriage to Karen Hawk on June 18, 1960 and to this union 3 children were born, all whom survive him; they were married for 57 years. Gene began working for the Maryville District in 1961 and later retired from the North Kansas City School District in 1991. Karen loved to travel so naturally Gene would go wherever she led him. They went to Hawaii, Alaska, Destin Florida and Canoeing in several different places.

Gene is survived by his three children, Alison (Keith) Johnson, John (Lisa) Jordan and Jacqueline (Paul) Jordan; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Gene also leaves behind many other friends and family who will truly miss him.
