Jeffery Wishard

Jeffery Thomas Wishard, 47, Smithville, Missouri, passed away April 27, 2017. Jeff spent the majority of his career in law enforcement; first as a Police Officer in Alaska, then with the Kansas City Police Department where he served in many roles to include Police Officer and Detective.  Jeff retired in 2006, after serving on the department’s FBI task force. Jeff was a loving son, father, husband and brother. He lived to help others and loved serving on the force.  He was best known for his sense of humor, his infectious laugh, his musical jingles and his amazing story telling.   Jeff is survived by his wife, Hadley Wishard, his daughter, Morgan Roberts, his mother, MaryLee Wishard, his father, Tom Wishard, his sister Gina Kennedy-Toney, Ron Purgason, his stepchildren Alex Mills, McKenna Sammons, and Holly Mills and 5 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-6 pm followed by the memorial service on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Terrace Park Funeral Home.
