June Elkins

June Elkins, 90 of Liberty, MO died at Liberty Hospital on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born January 16, 1928, in Ritchey, MO  to the late Alfie and Rosanna (Harris) Loving.

June was a loving homemaker, growing African violets in her basement, sewing, crafts, she was a Baptist Sunday School Teacher for many years and became the “squirrel warden” at Pleasant Valley Manor where she lived the last several years.

June was the loving wife of William H. Elkins Sr. who died in 1985. Dear mother of Terry (Carol) Cornett, Hal (Anne) Elkins Jr.,  Phillip (Kim) Elkins, and David (Chris) Elkins; cherished grandmother of Mike, Damon, Ben, Ashley, Nathan, Amanda, Andrew, and Corey.  And 9 great-grandchildren, dear sister of Dale (Barbara) Loving, Carolyn (Bob) Talbert and Starlene Martin.

In addition to her parents and husband June is preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Terrace Park Cemetery.
