Mabel Goad

Mabel Elizabeth “Muzzy” Goad, 80, passed away Sunday, September 24th, 2017.
Muzzy was born in Georgeville, Missouri to Robert Clark Lee and Robbie Lee Harber on April 11, 1937.  She graduated from Stet High School and went on to earn a Degree in Education from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Muzzy married Kenneth Goad on January 19, 1957.  Their 60-year marriage was founded and survived on an unwavering love, dedication and support to one another.
Muzzy was a High School Science and PE teacher, real estate agent, and homemaker.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Independence, MO where she was active as an Elder, Deacon and Trustee.  She was an avid sports fan who loved hosting meals and game nights with family. She was never a stranger anywhere she went and her personality left a mark on all she encountered.
Muzzy was the youngest of ten children.  She was preceded in death by siblings Helen Eckard, Virginia Kelley, Walter (Buster) Lee, Faye Prewitt, Robert Lee, Billy Lee, Sr., and Mary Lou Groves.  She is survived by her Husband Kenneth L. Goad, daughter Donna Kendall and husband Bob, grandson Ryan Starks and wife Heather, granddaughter Keely Gilbert and husband Kyle, great-granddaughters Claire and Vivienne Starks, sisters Edith Foster and Anna Nelson, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Saturday September 30, 2017  from 9:30 AM til time of service at 11:00 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.  Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com.
