Maxine Claussen

Maxine “Mickie” Jean Claussen, daughter of the late John Wooden & Nellie (Durham) Brown, was born on January 23, 1932 and departed this life on August 2, 2019. At the time of her passing she was 87 years of age.

Mickie was born in Kansas City, Missouri where she later attended school. On July 11, 1951 she was united in marriage to Rupert Jensen Claussen and to this union three children were born, two of whom survive her. They moved to Gladstone, Missouri in 1959 where they raised their family. Together they loved to travel, fish and spend their summers at their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. She loved to crochet, sketch and play cards.

Mickie was preceded in passing by her parents; her loving husband of 45 years, Rupert Claussen; one son, Richard Claussen; and twelve siblings. She is survived by her two children, William (Sandy) Claussen and David (Charlotte) Claussen; 5 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Rebekah, Eric, Shannon, and Katherine; 8 great-grandchildren, Parker, Paige, Kadyn, Isabelle, Hailey, Roman, Chase and Kynley. She also leaves behind other friends and family members who will all truly miss her.
