Rose Murray

Rose Nettie Murray, 82, of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Garden Valley Health Center. Rose was born April 26, 1935 to Charles and Geraldine (Frazier) Smith in Saline County, MO. She graduated high school in Grand Pass, MO. During this time she met her future husband. Carl took her on their first date to Mutt’s and they had a brain sandwich. On September 20, 1953 she married Carl Murray. In her free time she enjoyed cross stich and latch hooking and reading her bible.  Rose loved to dance and listen to music and was notorious for her dances at family weddings. She will always be remembered for her positive attitude and her love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, her children; Carl (Brenda) Murray of Kansas City, MO Michael (Sabrina) Murray of Kansas City, MO Cheryl (Dennis) Brooks of Kansas City, MO, Denise (Ron) Cole of Smithville, MO three sisters; Bertha Trotter, Beulah Murray, and Edna Patton. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 10 - 11 AM with Funeral Services immediately following at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO.
