Stephen Myers

Stephen Dwayne Myers, son of Jacquetta & the late Kenneth Myers, was born on November 3, 1948 and departed this life on June 26, 2019. At the time of his passing he was 70 years of age.

Stephen was born in Kansas City, Missouri where he attended and graduated from Northeast High School in 1967. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he proudly served from 1967-1971 in the Vietnam War. He then attended Northwest University from 1973-1975 and obtained his license in Heating and Cooling from Vatterott College.  While staying in the Kansas City area, he raised his family while the children attended North Kansas City Schools. He was a sports and outdoors fan. He truly enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Mizzou Tigers. He looked forward to his yearly fishing trips with his son and friends. He truly cherished every moment he was able to spend with his family.

He was preceded in passing by his father.  He is survived by his mother, Jacquetta Myers; two children, Vanessa (Doug) Broermann and Kenny Myers; one granddaughter, Ava Broermann; one sister, Jenny (Gary) Shea. He also leaves behind several friends and other family members who will all truly miss him.
