Steven Duke

Steven Lyle Duke, 70, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on May 4, 2018 at Liberty Hospital.  Celebration of Life will be held at The Regional Police Academy Auditorium on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 5-7 pm.

Steve was born May 11, 1947 in Beloit, KS.  Steve graduated from Washington High School in 1965.  He then joined the Air Force April 7, 1966.  He was station in Thailand during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged February 6, 1970. He joined the Kansas City Police Department May 1, 1971.  His assignments included Northeast, East, Central, and North Patrol Divisions and Internal Affairs, Juvenile, and Fugitive Apprehension Units.  He retired as a sergeant from the Kansas City Police Department October 1997 after 26 years of service.

Steve was preceded in death by he his parents Raymond and Elizabeth Duke, brother Dale Wesley Duke, sister Jane Bowen, and father in law Marion Fambrough.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Johnnie Duke, Brother Raymond Duke, mother in law Virginia Fambrough, son Steven (Lori) Duke, Andrea (Paul) Khan. Grandkids Jacob and Joshua Khan, Taylor, Zachary, and Ryan Duke.  Great grandson Kaden Peoples.
