Vickie Shannon

Vickie Lynne Shannon, 72, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on May 24, 2019.

Vickie was born on July 7, 1946 to parents Walton & Arla Shannon. She attended Washington High School in Kansas City. She worked at Tastee Bakery in North Kansas City and retired from there after 17 years. Her children fondly remember her always smelling of bread and sweets, after returning home from the bakery. Vickie loved nothing more than spending time with her family and sharing her love of candy with them, especially her favorites, Worthers Originals and Cherry Twizzlers.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Dominic and a granddaughter, Koren. She will be greatly missed by her children; Carol (Trish Kocialski) Stephens, Delonna (Robert) Wise, Doug Reed, and James (Brandi) Reed; grandchildren, Danielle (Nick) Jessee, Kristin Reed, and Alex Wise; great grandchildren, Dylan, Rilee, Bentley, Brendan, Aurora, Jaydyn, and Elijah.

As Vickie would always say when parting ways with her loved ones - “Glad you got to see me”!
