Virginia Moberly

January 20, 1932 — July 17, 2018

Virginia Lois Moberly of Kansas City, MO - passed away to her eternal home and touched the face of Jesus on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 at St. Luke's hospital. Virginia had fallen at her home resulting in two breaks in her leg and ultimately passed from complications.

Virginia was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 20, 1932 to John and Addie Lapeer, who precede her in death. She grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduated from high school and continued her education at Calvary Bible College in St. Louis, MO where she graduated with an academic degree in music. Also, this was the venue where she met the love of her life, Jasper Moberly, who was studying for a divinity degree. Later, Virginia attended Park University in Parkville, MO and graduated with a Bachelors of Music degree.

She was united in marriage to Rev. Jasper Moberly on August 1, 1951, who survives her. They happily celebrated their 50th anniversary with a reception and they were looking forward to a quiet anniversary in August. To the union four children were born and survive; Linda Loafman, Karen Osborn (Mark), Carol Golden, all of Kansas City, MO, and Roger Moberly (Theresa) of Auburn, NE. Six grandchildren; Andrea Lee Loafman, of Vietnam, Carrie Corman (Kyla) of Kansas City, MO, Matthew M. Osborn (Holly) of Fargo,  ND, and Sarah, Danny and Molly Moberly of Auburn, NE; and four great grandchildren, Ava Grace and Ethan Osborn, and Braylin and Jace Moberly.

Virginia was a devout Christian accepting Christ as her personal savior at a young age. She and Jasper were always involved in church activities wherever they lived until they were unable to attend because of their health issues, but TV was an alternate spiritual guide. Virginia was involved or taught in all church activities including bible studies, Sunday school, vacation bible school and loved the children's activities. Virginia was an accomplished organist and pianist and played for various churches, choirs, etc. She was an excellent cook and was adept at baking, especially desserts and special event cakes with decorative icings.

Virginia will be greatly missed by family and friends. Sleep well, loved one.
