October 15, 1935 — March 22, 2018

Wayne Francis Cook, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at home, Thursday, March 22, 2018. Wayne was born October 15, 1935 to John and Lillian (Bonnett) Cook in Belvue, KS. On November 10, 1955 he married Roberta “Bobby” Johnson, the love of his life, in Westmoreland, KS. Wayne was a man that could make something out of nothing, and worked his entire life as a maintenance/mechanic for companies like 7-up and Space Center. In his free time he loved to hunt, fish, go camping, and go on trail rides with his family in the mountains. Wayne will forever be remembered for his honesty and integrity and hard work.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Ryan Cook, daughter Lacy Cook, brothers; Bud, Leroy, George, and Freddy Cook, sisters; Alberta Colson, and Peggy Mae Cook, and his loving friend Trip.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, son Robert and daughters Lois and Lona, and sister Sue Ann (Slim) Loop of Woodland park, CO. Also surviving are grandchildren; Jeremy, Micheal, Jacob, and Rachel, 10 great grandchildren, Krazy Karl, Mad Max and 47 pairs of pliers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Funeral Service on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 10AM  at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to either St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or KC Pet Project.
