William Bonds

William Donovan Bonds, 82, passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 surrounded by family at his home. William (Bill) was born September 16, 1935 to Harvey and Eileen (Donovan) Bonds in Horton, Kansas. He graduated from Horton High School in 1953 and immediately volunteered for military service, serving in the Army. After returning home he attended college and moved to Wichita, Kansas working at Boeing Aircraft where he met the love of his life. On September 2, 1962 he married Ardene Pocock. William spent most of his career in pharmaceutical sales retiring in 2000. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, dining out, taking drives around the city, seeing friends and decorating the garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, and Jane; grandchildren: Laura and Brett Kunkel.

William is survived by his wife of 55 years, son Mark (Katrina) Bonds of Olathe, KS, and daughter Kim (Lief) Yauk of Andover, KS. Also surviving are granddaughters Ava and Hannah Bonds, and grandson Jesse Kunkel, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with Funeral Services immediately following at 2:00 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home; 801 NW 108th St. (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek) Kansas City, MO. Burial to follow in Terrace Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions go to VITAS Healthcare (Hospice). Share online condolences at TerraceParkFuneral.com
