Winifred Mae Veach

May 16, 1925 ~ March 31, 2018 (age 92)

Winifred Mae Veach

Mae was born May 16, 1925 to Ben and Pearl Williamson at their home near Newtown, Missouri.  She completed her earthly life and embarked on her heavenly journey March 31, 2018 just 6 weeks shy of her 93rd birthday.

She lived with Sammy and Vada McHargue during her high school years in order to be closer to school.  Her years with Sammy and Vada were very special to her.  She graduated from Ravana High School in 1943.  After high school she moved to Kansas City where she worked in a variety of bookkeeping jobs over the years.

She married Glenn Jones September 10, 1946 and they had one son, Wayne.

After Glenn's death in 1990, she was married to Paul Veach on June 25, 1994.  Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Sister Wilma Mack Lincoln, and brother Junior Keith Williamson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Veach, son Wayne Jones and wife Sara of California, Granddaughter Chelsea and husband Chad McDonald of Hawaii, and twin great-grandsons Dax and Dean. She is also survived by her sister Vera Lee Rowland of Princeton, Missouri.

Mae was a fun-loving person who lived life to the fullest, enjoying keeping in touch with a large circle of friends and family members.  She enjoyed playing bridge as long as her health would allow.  She loved family gatherings and cooking special food for those she cared about.  Homemade bread and chocolate pie were two of her specialties.  After she and Paul were married they enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and spending their winters in South Texas.

Mae enjoyed special relationships with her nieces who counted her as one of their best friends.  She was a wonderful aunt, she was loved and she will be missed!
