Billy J. Snapp, 83, of Kansas City, MO passed away November 23, 2014. Services are 10:30 am Saturday November 29th at Terrace Park Funeral Home (169 Hwy & Shoal Creek Parkway, Kansas City, MO), with visitation preceding services 10:00 – 10:30 am. Graveside services are 2:00 pm Saturday at Butler Cemetery, King City, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Sherwood Bible Church.
Billy was born in DeKalb County MO, and was a 1948 graduate of King City High School. He married Mary Holeman Snapp on November 18, 1950. He was a machinist at Bendix-Honeywell retiring after 35 years of service, which included developing parts used on the first rocket to the moon. He attended Sherwood Bible Church in Kansas City North. Billy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his children, Karen Snapp and Keith Snapp. Survivors include his wife, Mary Snapp, children, Kelly Braden, Katie Castagno, Kevin Snapp, Sharron Watson, Maria Badami, 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
