ALEX COOPER ANDERSON

November 18, 1989 - August 27, 2026

Alex had the purest heart, and he lived his life filled with happiness and love for his family and friends. He defied all odds. His doctors told his parents he would never walk, talk, sit up, or go to school.

Surrounded by loving and dedicated parents, Kate and Stuart Anderson, his brothers, Parker, Connor and Garrett, grandparents, aunts—especially his Aunt Melissa and Aunt Kris, uncles, and a group of fun-loving friends, Alex achieved the unthinkable. He learned to walk and talk, graduated from Park Hill South High School, and attended Platte County Board of Services Day Hab as a young adult for the last fifteen years, under the caring guidance of his favorite, Michelle. His village was miraculous!

He brought joy to his world and everyone in his circle. He appreciated the simple things in life: family time, listening to music, laughing at comedy shows, watching VHS movies and The Game Show Network. Alex loved pizza, cheese dip, and a chilly can of Coca-Cola every day. Endless concerts, thrift store shopping, Taco Bell, and long rides in the family car were some of his favorite things to do.

Alex passed away on the day of a lunar eclipse. We hope when you think about Alex, you’ll go outside under the night sky, turn on some Neil Diamond, Elton John, or Tom Petty, and send a prayer and a wink to his bright soul.

Kate and Stuart will always be deeply thankful for his beautiful life and honored to have been his parents. They ask all of us to be a little more like Alex and spread joy each day.

Rest in peace, Alex.
