Arthur C. Vanbecelaere

Arthur VanBecelaere, 89, of Gladstone, Missouri passed away on March 24, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1934,  in Turner, Kansas to the late Cyriel and Emma (Ceule) Vanbecelaere. 

Arthur enjoyed fishing, hunting, square dancing with Nancy, playing tennis and taking RV Trips. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War.  Arthur and Nancy were married for 67 years. From this marriage they were blessed with three children. 

In addition to his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his; wife Nancy, grandson, Michael VanBecelaere. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his; children, Steve (Phyllis) VanBecelaere, Diana (Terry) Hazlett, and Lea (Kent) Marsden; grandchildren, Bobby (Christina) VanBecelaere, Chessa (Cory) Cline, Nicole Hazlett, Ceresa Hazlett (Jeremy Bachman), Justin Marsden, Courtney (Corey) Szamlewski, and Dana (Walker) Sharp; great grandchildren, Eli and Zeke VanBecelaere and Navy and Savanna Szamlewski; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW Shoal Creek Parkway. Interment with military honors will be at Terrace Park Cemetery following the service. If you so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Arthurs Memory to Father Flanagan Boy’s Town.
