Betty was well-known for her career with Praxair, where she spent many years inspecting and fixing airplane blades, demonstrating both skill and diligence. Her professional contributions were significant, but it was her personal qualities that truly defined her legacy. She cherished her faith and was a steadfast member of her church community, initially attending Temple Baptist as a child before becoming an active member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church as an adult. Her love for Jesus Christ inspired her many acts of kindness, including volunteering at the church, where she greeted all who entered with warmth and compassion.

Betty shared a beautiful 68 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Vernon, who preceded her. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Betty’s unwavering faith and love extended into her family, where she took pride in being a devoted mother and grandmother, nurturing and supporting her loved ones.

In addition to her family and community service, Betty had a passion for music. She enjoyed singing and participated in performances and programs, sharing her love for Christian music with joy and enthusiasm.
