Bobby L. Glenn, a devoted husband, father, and respected member of his community, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 16, 1932, Bobby dedicated his life to helping others through his career in repair services, where he was not only the owner of his own business but also a man of great ethical principle. He took immense pride in always doing what was right, forging lasting connections with those he served.
Bobby’s warmth and kindness extended far beyond his work. He shared 25 years of marriage with his first wife, Barbara, with whom he had the joy of raising seven children. Following Barbara’s passing, Bobby found love once more with Leanne, and together they enjoyed 42 beautiful years of marriage, creating cherished memories alongside their family.
A man of many interests, Bobby found joy in playing the banjo, immersing himself in the music that resonated deeply with him. He was a regular attendee at bluegrass festivals across Missouri, where he celebrated his passion for music and the camaraderie it brought. In addition to music, Bobby had a knack for fixing just about anything and often expressed this talent by tackling projects around the home. He cherished time spent fishing, particularly enjoying the thrill of driving the boat on peaceful waters.
Bobby's life will be honored at a memorial gathering on January 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, and an inurnment at 2:45 PM. All services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, William & Zelma Glenn, his 1st wife Barbara Glenn; sons, Robert Glenn, Charles Glenn, and Mike Glenn.
He is survived by his loving wife Leanne Glenn; children; Kathy Wetzel, Timothy (Diana) Glenn, Kevin ( Reagan) Glenn, Shari Helars, and step daughter, Donna (Mike) Taylor, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his unwavering sense of integrity, his kind heart, and his infectious love for life. Bobby L. Glenn leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and service that will live on through his family.
