Carol Ann Dobney

Carol Ann Dobney, 84, of Gladstone, MO, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1938, in Providence, Rhode Island. Carol was employed as a bank teller for Central and Commerce Bank until her retirement.

She was an active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Parish of Gladstone, MO, and volunteered in many aspects of the church.

Carol spent countless hours volunteering in hospice and assisting those around her. She loved to crochet and would make blankets for every special occasion. Carol found a great love in supporting all her family in their activities. She was a mom to everyone and a giver to others. In her free time, Carol enjoyed scrolling on Facebook and laughing with her peers. She touched the lives of the people she loved and will always be remembered for her warm spirit. 

Carol was preceded in death by her husband: Carl Dobney Jr.; mother: Anna Zaino; sister: Irene DeFelice; and brother: Johnny Soscia. 

She is survived by her five children: Dianna Dobney-Pfaff, Carl (Carol) Dobney III, Donald (Karen) Dobney, Debbie (Matt) Housh, and Carole Dobney-Anders; 11 grandchildren: Marisa (Scott), Josh, Alex (Angela), Brittany (Chad), T.J. (Mercedes), Andrea (Tyler), Ryan, Zach, Carley, Nicholas, and Jillian; eight great grandchildren: Sara, Olive, Michael, Maxwell, Alyssa, Zoey, James, Delaney, and two twin baby girls coming soon; sister: Angie Soscia; brother: Frank (Marilyn) Zaino; and many more extended friends and family.
