Christopher Philip Korwek, 44, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on September 20, 2026.Christopher was born on January 22, 1982, in Indiana. As a young child, he moved around the United States with his family living in Northern California, Idaho and parts of Colorado until his family settled in southern California, where he attended school. After high-school Christopher chose to serve in United States Air Force. During his military service, he worked in Tactical Aircraft Maintenance and achieved the skill level of journeyman. Following his time in the Air Force, Christopher attended Mt. San Jacinto College where he earned his associate’s degree in mathematical science. He held various positions throughout his working life, most recently working in retail and volunteering with the KC Pet Project Animal Shelter. Christopher had a natural gift for mathematics, something that seemed to come easily to him from an early age. That same curiosity extended far beyond numbers to a fascination with space, astronomy, and the stars. He enjoyed contemplating the vastness of the universe and the science and mathematics behind it, finding wonder in both. He also had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his cats. His compassion for them extended beyond his own love of animals, as he spent time volunteering at an animal shelter.Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Phylls Trimbath.He will be remembered by his sister, Cristine Edwards; nephews, Jakob and Ethan Edwards; cousins, Paula, Christian and Cassandra Williams; Cousin Audrey Hartranft as well as other extended relatives and friends.
