Cora "Lee" Morris

Cora Lee Morris, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025. She was born on September 11, 1929, in Marshall, Missouri to the late H. Ernest and M. Edith (Uhrig) Merrell.

She spent her career working in grocery stores as a bookkeeper and as a partner in restaurants with her late husband of 68 years. 

Lee was the loving wife of the late Eugene (Gene) Morris, dear mother of Wanda J. Morris (Dana) Sinkhorn and Mark A. (Debbie) Morris. Cherished Nanny of Melissa A. (Curtis) Hunter, D. Anthony “Tony” Morris, Michael L. (Trisha) Sinkhorn, Jeremy Whitley, Chad Whitley, Heather (Josh) Canterbury, Kyle (Kylie) Morris; great grandmother to eight and great great grandmother to two. 

Lee was preceded in death by seven of her eight older siblings. She leaves behind her sister, Dorothy I. Turner.

Services will be private with final resting place at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
