Danny Tucker, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. He was born February 24, 1936, in Orrick, Missouri, to the late Cecil Tucker and Mildred (Barger) Sullenger.
Danny was meticulous with everything, his garage, yard, home, and vehicles. He got a lot of joy out of restoring his 1956 Mercury Montclair that he would take to car shows and won many trophies. He also restored a couple of CJ2A Willys Jeeps and built a few dune buggies over the years. He worked at Westfall GMC for most of his career as a salesman of medium and heavy-duty trucks. It was there that he met the love of his life, Mary Jean. Together with their daughters and friends, they enjoyed time at the Lake of the Ozarks. He never had a harsh word and was kind to everyone. He touched the hearts of many people during his life including many of the staff at the Oxford Grand where he lived for the past 6 months.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Jean Tucker, Daughter Gina Tucker, and Stacy Tucker-Loner and husband Adam. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his step-father Glen Sullenger; sister Donna Rhodelander, brothers Bill Sullenger, Rex Tucker, and Tom Tucker.
Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2023, from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM at Terrace Park Funeral Home 801 NW 108th street (Shoal Creek Parkway).
