Danny Lee Welte, 75, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was the son of Henry A. Welte Jr. and Ruby Emma Cantrell Welte.

He was baptized on April 1, 1956 in Madison Park Christian church, in Quincy, Illinois.

Danny was a graduate of Quincy Senior High in Quincy, Illinois, class of 1966, and also a graduate of the University of Missouri, Robert S. Morris Junior College, and S. Illinois University. He was employed with the Cook Paint and Varnish Company in Jacksonville, Illinois and then by Sun Chemical in Kansas City, Missouri for years as manager where he made Kansas City his home. Dan enjoyed golf, baseball, and traveling out West. While employed, he was granted several awards for his outstanding service.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his two sisters: Irene Douglas and Patty (John) Mehaffy, both of Quincy, Illinois; two nephews: John L. (Judie) Mehaffy, and Michael E. (Andrea) Mehaffy; great nieces and nephews: Lauren, Ian, Emma, and Drew; as well as many other cousins. He is loved by his precious dog, Beau.
