David L. Nixon, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at his home. Dave was an Executive Chef for the BNSF Business Cars. Preceding in death were his parents Ruth Nixon Frame and Clifford A. Nixon and step-daughter Melissa Zimmerman Gray. Survivors include his wife Maggie L. Zimmerman Nixon, two children Kim Nixon of Lawrence, Kansas and Chad Nixon of Gunnison, Colorado and two step-sons Mike Zimmerman of Shawnee, Kansas and Mark Zimmerman of Smithville, Missouri, ten grandchildren, one sister Jean L. Howell of Coats, Kansas and two brothers James A. Nixon of Sawyer, Kansas and Dale L. Nixon, of Leawood, Kansas, plus numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, October 29 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home. Memorial service following at 2 p.m. Burial will be Saturday, November 5 at St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri.
