Debra A. "Debbie" Melvin

Debbie was born on December 25, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas.  She was the youngest daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Morgan.  She graduated from Wyandotte High School in May 1971 and then continued her education at Kansas City Kansas Junior College.  She married James “Jim” D. Melvin, Jr. on August 8, 1975, and were blessed with two children, Stephen and David.  Debbie had a long career as a commercial insurance accountant executive, retiring from Lockton Insurance in 2015.

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” D. Melvin, Jr. along with her parents, Edward F. Morgan, and Elizabeth D. Morgan, sister, Patricia Morgan, and brother, Michael E. Morgan.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Laura) Melvin, of Kansas City, Missouri, and David (Kari) Melvin of Kansas City, Missouri, brother Frank (Sandra) Morgan, of Louisburg, Kansas, sister Janet (the late Ronald) Sapp, of Forsyth, Missouri, three grandchildren, Brayden, Lexie, and Reece along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
