Derrick Michael Pahls

Derrick M. Pahls, 41, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on October 29, 2025.

Derrick was born on January 17, 1984, to Steven and Tina Pahls. He graduated from Oak Park High School with a love of art; this love allowed him to spend many years working in the tool and die trade, creating many unique pieces.

Derrick loved being outdoors and found comfort and joy in nature. He had a remarkable love for animals, often earning so much trust that wildlife would eat right from his hands. Derrick had a gentle and generous spirit; he was the kind of person who would help an animal in need or to feed the wildlife that visited his backyard. He greatly cherished the times he spent with his children and family.

Derrick will be fondly remembered by his parents, Steven and Tina Pahls; children, Gavin and Kaden Pahls; brother, Dale Pahls; sister, Danielle Pahls; and many extended family and friends.

A private Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to support a college fund created for his children.
