D. Maxine Burlington

D. Maxine Burlington, 95, of Gladstone, Missouri, entered rest peacefully on October 15, 2022. She was born to the late Oscar and Martha Twitty on March 21, 1927 in Bruceville, Indiana. Maxine was married to the love of her life, Robert Burlington, Sr.

Maxine had a love for Christ. She was baptized at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, MO and was a regular attendee of the Briarcliff Church in Kansas City, MO.

In 2006, Maxine retired after working 41 years as an order filler for Colonial Patterns.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved those around her with all her heart.

During her free time, Maxine enjoyed crossword puzzles, and watching the Wheel of Fortune; as well as the Price is Right. She loved to travel during her lifetime. She traveled all over the states, following her daughter and sons during their time in the service. Her most favorite travel was to Hawaii.

Maxine will be missed by all of those who loved her, she will always hold a special place near to their heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her husband; 3 brothers, 4 sisters, grandson: Jeremy Burlington, daughter in law: Karla Burlington; and son in law: James (Pat) Shaw.

Maxine is survived by her children: Robert (Mary Kay) Burlington, Ray (Melody) Burlington, Roy Burlington, and Dianna Shaw; grandchildren: Randy (Kimi), Janette (Wade), Kim, Ronda (Craig), Rusty (Tami), Brandie (Jason), and Ryan; brother: Johnny Twitty; and 7 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as several other family and friends.
