Donald Lester Taylor Jr., 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 24, 2026.

Donald was born on November 8, 1949, in Springfield, Missouri. He was the eldest of four children born to Donald Lester Taylor Sr. and Jackie Joann Taylor.

Donald built a life centered around faith, family, and hard work. After graduating, he joined the Army, serving in Germany. Upon his return, he moved to the Kansas City area. He married his first wife and they were blessed with two children. He later married his wife, Vicky, on October 24, 1974. Blending their families, they were blessed with six children. He dedicated 35 years of service working for the United States Post Office. Donald found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing and playing pool. A man of strong faith, Donald served as an elder in his church for over 20 years.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Taylor, and his brother, Johnny Taylor.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his children: Angela Kelly (Joe), Shane Taylor (Kim), Patrick Taylor, Josh Taylor, Danielle Laffoon (Don), and Nathan Taylor (Carley); his grandchildren: Jerel Taylor, Christian Taylor, Tristen Taylor, Madison Weisler, Raven Kendall, Riley Johnson, Aras Weisler, Nevaeh Weisler, Koston Taylor, Evy Taylor, Zachary Taylor, and Paris Taylor; his great-grandchildren: Theodore Donald Taylor and Persephone Victoria Taylor; his sister, Judy St. Louis; his brother, Ernie Taylor; and many extended family members and friends.
