Donna Hudlemeyer, born on January 4, 1941, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. She lived a life marked by dedication, love, and profound commitment to her family and faith. Donna found true joy in her roles as a homemaker, wife, and mother.
Donna's early years were spent on a farm in Kearney Missouri. A graduate of Kearney High School, she carried the lessons of hard work and perseverance throughout her life.
Donna was a devoted wife and treasured her time with David raising their family. Together they made memories built upon the love they shared.
She was a woman whose faith was a cornerstone in all she did. Her family traditions were deeply meaningful, particularly the holidays spent gathered around her table, creating memories that would be cherished for generations. Donna’s love extended beyond her family to include her passions for reading, cooking, playing cards, fishing, and traveling—most notably her journeys to Alaska and Las Vegas, which brought her joy.
A devoted grandmother, Donna’s presence was a consistent and cherished blessing for her family. Her excellent culinary skills and joyful spirit at family gatherings ensured that every moment spent with her was special.
Among her proudest accomplishments was being honored in the Clay County Hall of Fame as the first female pitcher in a men’s league—a testament to her spirit and determination.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Orval & Frances Reynolds; brother, Jim Reynolds; and 3 precious great grandbabies.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, David Hudlemeyer; children; Dennis (Cheryl) Hudlemeyer; Denise Wilhelm; Douglas (Tracy) Hudlemeyer; Darrell (Teresa) Hudlemeyer; grandchildren; David James (Karen) Hudlemeyer; Donna (Robert) Smith; Diana (Dustin) Lally; Dalton (Morgan) Hudlemyer; TJ Hudlemeyer; Randi Wilhelm; and, Haylee Hudlemeyer (Lee); 9 great grandchildren and one more on the way; brother, Fred (Carol) Reynolds; twin sister, Diane (Ron) Holderman; adopted son, Ben (Bambi) Casady; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services honoring Donna will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155, on April 27, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, and interment at 11:45 AM.
Donna Hudlemeyer’s life was one of love, achievement, and unwavering devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories.
