Doris M. Simmons

June 29, 1938 — August 17, 2025

Kansas City

Doris M. Simmons, born June 29, 1938, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, surrounded by her family—the people who were the center of her world. Doris’s life was defined by devotion, love, and an unshakable commitment to her husband and family. For 65 years, she shared an extraordinary journey with her beloved husband, Roy. Theirs was a love story built on faith, loyalty, and laughter—a bond so strong it could weather anything. They were inseparable partners, sharing countless adventures, road trips, and simple joys like listening to country music and dancing the two-step together on weekends. If you saw one, you knew the other was close by.

While her family always came first, Doris was also a determined and hardworking woman who thrived in roles that were often dominated by men. Through more than 40 years with Ben Franklin and CNH, she earned the respect of everyone around her for her grit and her no-nonsense work ethic. But ask anyone who knew her, and they’ll tell you: her true success wasn’t in titles or years worked—it was in the love she gave and the family she raised.

Doris is remembered not only for her dedication and strong personality but also for her kind heart and generous spirit. She touched the lives of many, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her.
