Eldon Toy

Eldon F. Toy, 97, passed away on October 21, 2020. A memorial service will be held at Gashland Baptist Church on Friday, October 30th at 10:00am.

Eldon was born on August 7, 1923 in Waverly, Kansas to Orville and Maude (Redding) Toy. After graduating high school, Eldon joined the Navy. It was also during this time that he married his high school sweetheart, Gwyneth (insert maiden name). After his time in the Navy, he began working in as a civil servant for the government. Through his job, Eldon traveled all over, and even lived in Montana, Arizona, and Texas. Eldon was President of a volunteer crisis organization, which helped build churches all across the United States. He was a talented silversmith and especially enjoyed creating Indian jewelry. Eldon is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Claude, Wayne, and Roberta. He will be greatly missed by his children, Ron, Brent, and Barry Toy, and grandchildren, Travis, Madison, Tammi, Jeffrey, and Jamie.
