Gary Lee Clark

Gary Lee Clark, 87, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on July 17, 2023.

Gary was born on October 25, 1935 in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was the middle child of five children born to Cloyce and Bernice Clark. Due to his father’s job his family frequently moved, which led him to Kansas City. It was while working as a floor supervisor at a local variety store that he met the love of his life, Roslyn Adams. They were married on July 19, 1959 and were blessed with two sons. Gary worked for the Kansas City fire department for 32 years, until he retired as a FAO (Fire Apparatus Operator).  In his free time, he cherished nothing more than spending time with his family.

Gary is preceded in death by his son, Steven Clark; a brother and sister; and his parents.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Roslyn; son, David (Rhonda) Clark; 5 grandchildren, Anthony (Christina) Clark, Amanda (Max) Andersen, Dillon (Vanessa) Clark, Nicole (Drew) Vaden, and Gary (Allie) Clark; 13 great grandchildren; one brother and sister; and many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home, on Monday, July 24^th with visitation from 1pm-2pm, followed by the funeral service at 2pm, and graveside service immediately after. A reception will follow at the Lakeside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to KC Pet Project or Wayside Waifs.
