Gerry Lynn Tune

Gerry Lynn (Sweet) Tune, 78, passed away on November 27, 2025.

Gerry was born on October 6, 1947 in Cabool, Missouri. She was the youngest of nine children born to Marion and Grace Sweet. She graduated from Cabool High School and soon after met the love of her life, Dennis Tune. They were married on May 27, 1966 and were blessed with two daughters, Angela and Sheila. Most important in her life was her faith and family. She was a proud founding member of Clay County Christian Church in Liberty, MO. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling on leagues, attending the North American Christian Conventions, and all of the many family reunions and church sing-a-longs. She worked various jobs, including many years at the Claycomo McDonald’s and Hallmark Cards. In her spare time she played Mahjong and avidly read books.

She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings and her daughter, Angela Trigg.

She will be fondly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Dennis Tune; daughter, Sheila Worthington; and grandchild, Danielle Worthington.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Saturday, December 6th with visitation from 9-10am, followed by the service and burial. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any contributions be made to Clay County Christian Church.
