Hershel spent his entire working career as a supervisor for a screen-printing company, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he owned and operated a ceramic shop for many years before discovering a passion for buying and selling pecans. Affectionately known as "The Nut Man," the pecan business brought him not only loyal customers but many lifelong friends.

Hershel was a man of kindness, hard work, and a generous heart. He found joy in the simple things in life—his family, his friends, and God's creation. His humor, wisdom, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Mary Tubbs; his children, Sherri Ramsey, Kim Smedley (Mike), John Tubbs (Judy), and Tracey McCaine (Robert); his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Tristan, Christopher, Sierra, Kaitlyn, Tiffany, Amanda, Amber, Hanna, Mary, Emily, and Dakota; 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Frances; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Mae and Wiley Tubbs; his son-in-law, Dennis Ramsey; his grandson, Jason Ramsey; and his siblings, Rosie, Dorothy, Shirley, Myrtle, and William. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved. Forever in our hearts. ❤️
