Howard Paul Parks, born on January 2, 1968, passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 58. Howard's journey through life was one marked by kindness, resilience, and strength. He faced the immense challenges of MS and cancer with unyielding courage and never once voiced a complaint about his battle.

A graduate of Liberty High School in the class of 1986, Howard’s pursuit of knowledge and betterment did not stop there. He attended Park University, where he earned his degree in criminal justice.

Professionally, Howard spent many years dedicated to loss prevention. His colleagues came to know him as a diligent, hard-working professional who carried himself with integrity and a sense of duty.

At the core of Howard’s life was his devotion his family and friends. He was known for being a selfless and giving man, building strong connections and sustaining relationships throughout his life. No matter the circumstances, he could always be counted on to be there for his family. Howard valued friendship deeply and often reached out to people from his past, ensuring that friendships were never left unattended. His popular and positive influence could be felt wherever he went. He had a wonderful sense of humor.

For forty remarkable years, Howard shared his life with Lisa, the love of his life. Together, they created and cherished a lifetime of memories, finding joy in simple pleasures and the comfort of companionship. Their story together stands as a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Outside of work and family, Howard found happiness in his interests. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and was known among friends as a coffee aficionado, feeling most at home in the relaxed atmosphere of a local coffee shop. His spirit of service was evident in his volunteer work with the National MS Society, where he not only contributed his time but also led the Northland MS Connection Support Group, offering understanding and support to those facing similar struggles.

Howard’s unique outlook on life set him apart—no matter the circumstances, he was always able to find and embrace the positive. His strong faith in the Lord and Savior is what carried him through life’s most difficult times.

Howard is survived by his loving wife Lisa Parks; parents, David and Caroline Parks; brothers, Andrew (Shelly) Parks, Timothy (Trish) Parks, and Christopher Parks; brother -in-law, Mark (Tina) Cuccar; sister-in-law, Gina Salazar; and mother-in-law, LaVonne Diane Cuccar.

Howard Paul Parks will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for his warmth, steadfastness, and the positivity he brought to each day.
