Jacob Ray Maus, known to his loved ones as Jake, left this world on October 16th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and genuine warmth. Born on November 13th, 1988, to Monty Maus and Pamela Armstrong, in Eldorado Springs, MO, Jake was a shining light in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A natural-born jokester, Jake had an uncanny ability to bring smiles to everyone's faces. He had a very unique sense of humor.
He loved live music and had a deep appreciation for motorcycles. Wind in his hair and a mischievous grin on his face; those were the moments when he felt truly alive.
Jake could often be found indulging in some of his favorite hobbies. One such hobby was stacking pennies into pyramids.
Another passion of Jake's was fishing and camping. As a young man he could be found gathering around a campfire and was known for his infamous flaming-marshmallow-flicking at his siblings. As a dad, he loved to show his kids the skills he had to catch a fish, set up camp and enjoy the beauty found in nature by the water.
But perhaps one of Jake's most remarkable talents was his skill on water skis. Water skiing represented Jake's adventurous side.
Amidst all his activities, Jake remained a kind-hearted person who embraced life with an open heart and a care-free spirit. He was also a gifted artist and talented at drawing. He was a hard-worker and constantly strived to do better whatever the task.
Jake Ray Maus will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though our hearts ache from the void left by his sudden departure, we must find peace in cherishing the memories of laughter shared, adventures embarked upon, and lessons learned from this remarkable individual. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandfather: Ross Cossins and his grandmother: Terre Tush.
He is survived by his parents: Monty (Linda) Maus, and Pamela Armstrong; his children: Saloan, Skeeter, Aurora, and Arabella; sisters: Jessica (Chris) Barningham, Harley Kapp, Savannah (Mike) Martin, and Malia (Kent) Stelljes; brother: Benjamin Sharp; grandparents: Lovell Cossins, Raymond (Deanna) Maus, Dean (Priscilla) Armstrong; and numerous other family and friends.
